The Sabre is essentially two flat 12 cylinder horizontally opposed engines that have been assembled in one crankcase to drive a common propeller shaft, this video shows how Napier made this possible without the destruction of the reduction gears due to any small variances between the top 12 and bottom 12 cylinders.
